JobPro Version 2.6

New option to automatically generate budget and product assembly details when creating a job from a quotation or estimate. Includes option in Setup to specify the default budget markup rate to use when a job is created in this way.

In addition to the many existing reports in the system there are the following new reports:

Accounts receivable report for sales invoices;

Customer sales invoice report including tax amounts;

Sales invoice report by Tax Code;

Job type report in Jobs module. Two versions – detailed and summary;

Time report – by job by category.

– New templates feature for letters, faxes and emails. Users can create their own templates and then choose from those when creating letters, faxes and emails. Feature available when creating a mailshot as well.

– There are new optional document management features in the Jobs, Quotations and Sales Orders modules. Note: these features require an additional plug-in that costs US$54 from the plug-in developer. You can try this feature out before purchasing the plug-in. Contact us for more information.

– New ‘Payments received’ functionality in the Sales Invoices module. Includes a new ‘Accounts receivable’ report option as well. User can click a button to auto pay the invoice which will enter the full amount or balance remaining with the date and will mark the invoice status as ‘Paid’.

– New Sales Orders functionality to part invoice and/or part dispatch an order. Includes a back order report.

– New Purchase Orders functionality to part receive product. Includes a back order report.

– New functionality associated with sales tax reports. Users can now specify the default tax type for each customer which gets automatically used on their sales invoices. Includes a new sales invoice report by Tax Code which is ideal for tax returns.

– New functionality for keeping track of ‘Minimum stock levels’ in the Stock module with a button to find stock that has reached or fallen below it’s minimum level. Option to print list of those products including levels as well.

Other new features include:

– You can now store customer credit card details in the customer file.

– Task costs can be automatically added to the budget actuals for jobs.

– New feature in the Tasks module to email people responsible for a task.

– New option in Setup for Timesheets to allow automatic login to timesheets as a particular user. This is particularly useful for single users of JobPro. Also new option in Setup to automatically create a new day record if none exists for the current day for that employee.

– Users can now add an individual to a record or transaction instead of having to specify their company first. For example, previously when creating an invoice a user would have to enter the company name first and then would have to change the contact if it was not the main contact for the company. Now a user can specify the contact first and the company details will automatically be used. This new method has been implemented throughout the system in all relevant modules.

– New option tick box ‘Omit On Assembly’ on the Costings tab screen in Stock file so an item ticked won’t be included on a job assembly. Ideal for not including labour time for example on an assembly sheet.

– New Delivery Address fields in the Contacts module on the Jobs tab screen. Delivery address fields in Jobs and Dispatches lookup these fields now. This saves users having to put a delivery address in at the job screen level.

– On the sub assembly screen in the Jobs file (the screen that displays the assembly of the product) a new button allows you to print an assembly sheet for that product only and not all products on the job assembly.

– If a job number is entered on a quotation, sales order, purchase order, sales invoice or dispatch docket, it will now also appear on the printed version.

– When creating a task from the calendar the date for that task will automatically be set to the day currently viewed from the calendar.

– On the Supplier – Orders screen in the Contacts file the most recent orders now display at the top of the list to make easier viewing.

– On OSX, windows automatically expand now to their actual size and not to fill the full screen.

– The ‘Payment Due Date’ field is now included on the list screen in the Sales Invoices module.

– A new Tasks tab/screen for Employees has been added in the Contacts module.

– Users can now create jobs for employees from the Contacts module.

– The ‘Job No’ field is now included on the List and Mini List print screens in the Tasks module.

– New option in Setup to allow user to specify how they want to enter/find customers and products on transactions. Previously user selected customers and products from a portal screen. Now users can select from a Find screen which is a faster method if there are many thousands of current customers or products because the system does not need to keep re-sorting the filter selection alphabetically.

– On the Sales Invoices screen in the Jobs file the most recent invoices now display at the top of the list to make easier viewing.

– On the Sales Invoices screen in the Contacts file the most recent invoices now display at the top of the list to make easier viewing.

– There is a new option on the Options screen in Sales Invoices to find ‘Outstanding’ as opposed to ‘Invoiced’ transactions.

– New ‘Position’ field added to the Prospects module.

– New option to manually enter the markup for a product in the Stock module and work backwards for the sale price.

– Creating a task from the calendar will now set the Responsible to the name in the filter field on the calendar screen.

– User is now brought back to previous calendar screen from the tasks file. Previously it went back to the Day View every time.

– New feature to print envelopes for the found set of records in the MailFax file.

Take into account when upgrading:

– There are new fields associated with part shipments in Sales Orders and part receiving in Purchase Orders. E.g. Qty recd or qty shipped will need to be set for complete records so outstanding balances don’t appear for old records.

– Took status “Returned” out of the Status field in Purchases as it was too confusing in relation to how stock figures got updated by it. Functionality is still left in the relevant scripts that update stock.

– Need to replace relevant value into field ‘QtySoldPref’ in Stock file. Relevant value comes from twin field in Home-Setup-Stock prefs.
